A nightmare of a beautiful forest, beckoning you in to drift through soft lavender curtains of wisteria, and deep emerald green foliage, a feast for the eyes. But the further you go in, the more rocky the terrain becomes through the forest, as great blue-gray boulders cut up the land, forming new purchases for the plants to grow on, and more hurdles in your way. Eventually, the moss-covered stones become so clustered together that the only way forward is to creep between the narrow cracks between them. The space is small and dark, and yet...the dew sparkling on the moss is so pretty...for the chance to see more, you press on...

Cheerful and willing, Wistalia gladly met Somnia and company when the group came upon her kingdom, having briefly confused the forest for Saudade's. She became interested in the group immediately, particularly Saudade herself, finding her gentle air almost regal and wishing to embody it herself. Having begun life as a mimic, Wistalia has always found it a little difficult to find her footing among other Stygian, oftentimes too high-spirited for most, but the group received her well, and she worked to show an earnest desire for friendship. Part of her admiration for Saudade stemmed from a habit of being quite clumsy in her exuberance, something Wistalia is always working to curb - but she's also never without a spring in her step, and despite her fumbling she always gets back up to try again.

Though she calls herself the forest's guardian, she's more like a watcher, keeping a curious eye on dreamers as they traverse the kingdom. She's also not a particularly avid fighter, so defending the place is out of her depth as well. Wistalia prefers instead to enjoy the sights of her kingdom for herself, not having to fear any of the dangers that are posed to dreamers.

Kingdom: The Claustrophobic Glade

Wistalia's kingdom is a forested glade, with an entrance consisting mostly of wisteria trees. These inviting curtains of vivid blooms tempt dreamers deeper in to see what else the forest holds, how far the flowers go. It isn't very long before the lavender flowers give way to deep green trees and plantlife, vivid in color and life. It's a beauty that's difficult to ignore, even as the ground becomes uneven, less dirt and more stone.

Gleaming, silver-blue boulders rise up through the earth the deeper one goes into the forest, covered in emerald moss, a temptation to run one's hands over as dreamers are forced to leap and climb over the ever increasing obstacles, until they can't. And still, the great trees all around somehow find purchase on the stones, twisting roots draping around as a faint mist comes down. Eventually, the only way forward is to squeeze through the spaces between the boulders - even those that may not accomodate. Dreamers are distracted and allured by the nature that surrounds them, and cast any doubts or fears away to keep going for the next glimpse. Regardless of anything, you will always eventually be caught in the space between two stones, unable to move forward or backward, caught staring ahead into the darkness of the shadows as they at last become aware of their situation.

Trapped between the stones, in the most beautiful place you've ever known, the last thing you ever saw.
