THE PRINCE OF HEART HIMSELF

Marceau is stygian who came from a dream of waking up countless times in a room you don't recognize, a striking sunset shining through the window, and a door that must not be opened. He refused his nightmarish origins, and transitioned to a more lighthearted person as well as his gender (he is transmasculine though presents himself in a mostly feminine style). Marceau made his calling card the sunset he saw, and pursued a career in music, his style heavily based off of Japanese city pop, funk, and disco. He used to be quite popular in the dream world, but eventually people moved on. He has many alternate subspecies forms, though the one he manifests 90% of the time is his human avatar form. He's highly intelligent and has an interest in robotics, often creating silly little machines for fun, and to automate mundane tasks around the house. He is roughly about 45 years old in physical age and has had a Major Mitchell's cockatoo named Barbie. He practices muay thai and yoga, and enjoys cooking and eating light, fresh foods as opposed to heavy meals.

With others, he's very nurturing, often doting upon them with attention and gifts. Rather spontaneous, he never really schedules his daily plans, opting to let the day take him wherever. As opposed to his younger self who used to party quite often, he's mellowed out quite a bit, but can still be incredibly dramatic when the situation demands it. He's needy and self indulgent, but encourages others to take care of themselves. He often donates to causes he cares about, and participates in a lot of community events and protests.

After a bout with an illness that took his right eye, he retired and withdrew from society for some years to recouperate. Now that city pop has made a comeback, he's been pulled back into the spotlight. In a discussion with his fellow stygian, Eldrenn, he decided he would take a younger artist under his wing as a mentor of sorts through the process of creating a guardian jar with his blessings. The result was Cirrus, a shy, avoidant foxlike stygian. With them, they collaborate on many projects; he creates the music and they make the art for promotional material. Eventually they develop feelings for each other, and he decided to join Cirrus's polycule with their girlfriend and queer platonic partner, though their relationship is kept under wraps as Cirrus would rather not be in the spotlight in the media alongside him.

HIS KINGDOM

His kingdom consists of his hot pink mansion out in a simulacrum of the Minnesotan wilderness where time flows normally. The inside, like many of the things he owns, is drowned in shades of pink and purple. He has multiple spacious rooms dedicated to many things— his bird, his awards, his collections, a place to build robots, and an at-home movie theatre among other things. In his backyard, he has a rather plain shed that barely sees any use. Within this shed is a cluttered mess obscuring the path to a hatch that leads to what seems like a whole different dimension- that of his original dream.

From this hatch, you descends down a ladder, that leads to a plain medium-sized bedroom, with only a dresser, a closet, and a simply made bed. Illuminating the room is a breathtaking sunset shining through the huge window. Once you enter here, you get the feeling you must explore the area- to go down the stairs and find the rest of the house, tinted in earthy purples. Wandering around the house, you will discover a mysterious door with a blinding light behind it on the far end on a dim hallway. To open this door, you will find yourself back upstairs in the bedroom to start the entire process all over again. You get caught in a loop until you slowly gain a sense of deja vu telling you something isn't right. You try to break free from this, but it is not an easy task. You realize you have to wake up. You must wake up.
